5 Natural Ways to Help Reduce Cellulite

There are many theories of what cause cellulite, but it seems to plague all body types big or small. Cellulite occurs when there is an imbalance of fat and connective tissues in the body. Lifestyle, diet, and hormonal imbalances may play a role but are not the only contributing factors.

Here are few natural remedies to help reduce cellulite and also help with the overall appearance of your skin to keep it strong and firm, healthy.

1. Detoxify Bath

Toxins can build up in the body and get stored in the fat tissue this can help aid the formation of cellulite. Taking a Detox Bath will help eliminate toxins by drawing it out through the skin. Taking a bath with ingredients such as Himalayan sea salt, Epsom salts, clay, and seaweed are great for deep detoxification. Since these bathes are so great at drawing out toxins, it sets the body in deep relaxation and is perfect bath to take before bed.

2. Dry Brushing

Traditionally from Japan dry brushing is a great way to help with circulation and blood flow in the body. Dry brushing not only aids in reducing cellulite by helping with blood circulation but also evens out skin tone, exfoliates dry skin and helps with ingrown hair. It also helps the lymphatic system release toxins. Using a natural dry brush made from sisal is recommended.

3. Massage

Deep tissue massage is another great way to reduce cellulite. It helps break down the fat cells that are trapped in the connective tissue and this over time levels out the skin for a smoother surface. Using a massage oil that contains ingredients that help with circulation and penetrate a little deeper into the dermis will help aid in faster results. Ingredients such as ginger, rosemary, birch and arnica are the most popular for this type of massage.

4. Body Scrubs

Scrubs are very beneficial for overall tone and texture of the skin. Scrubbing your skin with salt or sugar scrubs help break down the dead skin sitting on the surface and help aid in getting the ingredients to a deeper dermal level. Scrubs are also great for circulation and blood flow, because they are massaged on to the skin you get the benefits of massage at the same time. Using scrubs with ingredients such as coffee and salts stimulate and detoxify your skin, not only helping with the cellulite but also leaving your skin with a healthy glow.

5. Moisturize

Another way to help keep cellulite at bay is to use a great moisturizer that will help with circulation, and collagen production. Finding moisturizer that contains natural anti aging ingredients that would slowly rebuild and thicken the skin will help reduce the appearance of cellulite. Cellulite is a lot more visible when the skin is thin, so by using ingredients such as COQ10, pomegranate, sea buckthorn and rose hip seed it will repair and tighten skin and help build a great support system to stay firm and healthy.
