Clowning Around on Halloween
Halloween is just around the corner and if you’re having trouble figuring out what to dress up as we have a suggestion, be a clown. It’s no secret that it’s the year of styrofoam noses and crazy facepaint.
Stephen King’s IT and American Horror Story: Cult both aired on September 5th. If you are not a horror junkie or don’t follow these type of things you may not know that they are both clown related. With that said let’s talk about the clown look we created for you.
I started off by creating a face chart. For those of you that don’t know what a face chart is, let me explain. It’s a diagram of a face that helps makeup artists plan a look ahead of time. It also gives us a chance to be creative by allowing us to apply makeup to it, in the way we would for a model. Face charts also remind us what a desired look was like when first created and what products were used to achieve it.
Once I finished the look I shared it with Daniella, our makeup artist to recreate it. When the makeup application was finally complete we added a few extras to bring our clown to life – some false lashes, a styrofoam nose and a mesh collar.
