Gift Card

To pick-up a gift card the recipient must bring the receipt that will be e-mailed to you, to our customer service desk with government issued ID. The name on the ID must match the recipient’s name on the receipt.

The card will be available for pickup 24 hours after the online purchase.

Cooking Classes

Bring your receipt on the evening of your class and present it to our customer service desk.

If the cooking class is a gift, please forward a copy of the receipt to the recipient.

Cooking Classes

Check your class start time and arrive 5-10 minutes before. We can reimburse you for parking in our lot if you bring a portion of the ticket to customer service before the class.

Please wear close-toed shoes and bring an apron.

All classes are limited to eight people so that you can enjoy preparing the dishes hands on and get the attention you may need. Recipes and fact sheets keep you informed throughout the course. Tasting is enjoyed during the class. Please bring your own apron, hand towel and reusable containers in case there are any leftover goodies to take home! Closed toe shoes are required to comply with our health & safety policies.

Single Evening Classes

We reserve the right to cancel or postpone classes with full reimbursement if class does not meet the minimum enrollment.

Cancellations within ten (10) days prior to the start of a class will result in a $35.00 (+HST) administration fee.

No refunds will be issued 24 hours prior to class start time. There are no make up classes for missed classes, however all recipes will be available. Classes are non transferable.

The Big Carrot is not responsible for any injury, loss or damage to persons or property during the class. Closed toe shoes are a requirement. Students are required to tie back loose or long hair. Please advise us of any food allergies and we will try to accommodate your needs. We are not a nut-free environment. Minors, ages 16-18 require parental consent.

Parking

The Big Carrot is happy to reimburse participants for the duration of the cooking class. Please make sure to park in the Carrot Common lot and purchase a ticket. We require the receipt section of your ticket at the Customer Service desk before the start of each class.

Gift card orders for multiple recipients must be ordered as separate transactions. Each recipient needs an invoice with their name on it to claim their gift card.

It is easiest if you have created an online account to efficiently order several gift cards.

Resale

The Big Carrot does not permit the resale of our gift cards.

Returns

Gift cards cannot be returned for cash or credit. The value must be redeemed in our store for product or services.

Risk of Loss

Gift cards must be treated as cash. If a gift card is lost or stolen it cannot be replaced.

Gift card purchases

Any additional cost exceeding the value of the gift card will be paid by the redeemer.

Promotional Use

Big Carrot gift cards cannot be used for any promotions, advertising or deals outside of The Big Carrot without prior consent.

Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions, the Gift Card and all transactions hereunder are subject to the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of the country of Canada.

Fraud

The Big Carrot holds the right to refuse any gift cards if suspected to be fraudulent. All attempts to defraud The Big Carrot will be reported to the appropriate authorities.

Shipping

At this time, gift cards are not shipped through the mail or by courier. Gift cards can only be picked up in-store by the purchaser or the recipient. The claimant must produce both the receipt of purchase and photo ID.
