Ginger Garlic Lemon Cold & Flu Tea

Organic ginger with the active component gingerol is a traditional method for managing cold, flu, coughs and specifically sore throats. 

Organic garlic is packed with immune-boosting, antimicrobial and antiviral properties that help relieve and alleviate cold and flu symptoms. 

Organic lemon is a great source of antioxidants and vitamin c, which, when taken daily, can shorten the severity and frequency of colds and cases of flu. 

Raw unpasteurized honey, with its natural antibiotic properties, soothes irritation in the throat and removes phlegm build-up caused by cold and flu symptoms. Unpasteurized honey contains more antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins, minerals and healthy enzymes than pasteurized honey. 

How to make Ginger Garlic Lemon Cold and Flu tea

You can make this ginger garlic lemon cold and flu tea with a juicer if you’re looking for a quick and easy shot of juice or with hot water for a soothing tea. 

Juicer Method 

Recipe makes 4-5 oz.

Take several “shots” over the course of the day(s). 


100 g fresh ginger root (about ½ to ¾ cup of chunks)

2 lemons

3 cloves garlic

2 tbsp raw (unpasteurized) honey

Juice ginger, lemons and garlic. Stir in honey. 

Fill up the shot glass and drink it up. 

Tea Method

Recipe makes 1 serving. 

Drink several cups over the course of the day(s)

2-inch knob of fresh ginger root, finely minced

1 clove garlic, finely minced

Juice of 1 lemon

1 tsp raw (unpasteurized) honey

½ cup boiling water

Add all ingredients to a mug and stir. If you prefer, you can filter out the particles once you’ve steeped the mixture for at least five minutes, or you can just eat all the bits. Then drink it all!
