Spring Makeup Trends
If you’re anything like me, which I can bet most of you are, you’re counting down the days until the weather warms up and the snow is a thing of the past.
If you’re looking forward to warmer weather and less layers of clothing; good news, spring is just around the corner. Let’s try to stay positive and remember that spring officially starts March 20th and it can only get better from there.
For all my makeup junkies and colour enthusiasts some more good news, this years spring makeup trends were made for you. Instead of the usual pastels we’re used to seeing around this time of year the fashion and makeup world has decided to go more edgy and trendy.
Makeup trends will include bright electric and neon colours such as fuchsia, royal blue, electric green and bright purple.
I can already feel my spirit lifting and my inner child screeching with joy.
Now for the break down…
For those of you that have wanted to try a more bolder look, this is your chance. The colours mentioned above along with others will be seen worn on the lid and around the eye for a pop of colour that will be sure to get a double take from people around you. If bright colours aren’t your thing, there are a couple more looks that may work for you. Bold liner is one of those options. As much as I like the classic winged eyeliner, it’s getting a bit of a makeover as well. Instead of having a sharp crisp edge try softening the wing by rounding the tip for a more soft and more “edgy” look. However, if you prefer to keep your wing the traditional way that’s okay, you can spice it up a bit by lining your bottom lash line as well. You can do this with black eyeliner or spice it up with a pop of colour. The last eye trend that we have is for my mascara worshipers. Coat those lashes and recreate Twiggy’s iconic look.
We’re keeping it bold, simple and loud. We will be seeing a lot of metallics, glosses and attention grabbing colours. For those of you that have been collecting matte lipsticks worry not, buy yourselves a shimmery clear gloss and add it on top of your matte lipsticks to stay on trend and not break the bank.
So highlighting has been in for a long time now and it doesn’t seem to be going away anytime soon, if anything we will see extra glow this season. So add extra highlight and shimmer on the high points of your face to get a nice golden glow, and I’m not referreing to bronzer.
I hope this springs colours and trends awaken your creativity & boldness. Remember we have all natural and select certified organic makeup and trained makeup artists on staff to help you achieve your beauty goals. We look forward to assisting you achieve your spring look!
